findout:

With Teram Kangri in the distance, an Indian soldier walks one of the trash-encrusted paths that weave through Kumar base.
High in the Karakoram, the stubborn armies of India and Pakistan have faced off for 19 years on the Siachen Glacier, the world’s highest battleground and a flash point in the deadly dispute over Kashmir.

Just finished this book today. It’s a collection of short stories from the perspective of children throughout Africa. Beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly heartbreaking.

Arcade Fire - Black Wave/Bad Vibrations

Nothing lasts forever, that’s the way it’s got to be.

There’s a great black wave in the middle of the sea for me, for you. For me, it’s always for you.

The sound is not asleep, it’s moving under my feet.

When is the Arcade Fire going to come out with new stuff?!?!?

Well, I need to read today’s paper and study my Hebrew and Arabic. Hard to learn two languages at once. HaHa. Not sure how to turn this thing off so I will put daddy back on. Amazing the internet was founded about 40 years ago on October 29 or 30. Also, Berlin Wall was torn down 20 years ago. I am full of facts but I really can never find my parking place downtown. I have a young Iranian student who works late afternoons at the parking structure and he looks out for me. He wants to go to Medical School, so you should have coffee with him. Nice guy and he remembers me. Here is to Daddy.
